Hi friends! It’s February. Still very much winter in the midwest, but I’m already longing for spring. We’ve had a couple of milder winter days that trick us into thinking that it’s almost time to ditch our snow boots and heavy coats. But, the truth is we probably need to keep those on or handy for another two months. Retail is always many steps ahead of the game and my latest Target runs have me thinking about anything but snow. I’m well stocked on winter gear at this point and am only looking at things that can be worn in this transitional period between winter and spring. I’m going to share some of my latest Target finds that fit into this category.
I love so many of their shoes right now! Here are some of my favorites:
This first slouchy heeled bootie is what I came home with this week. It is perfect to wear now when there is no snow or ice on the ground, and will go into spring with dresses too. These booties are the perfect neutral color and so comfy out of the box. True to size. The other two booties in the widget above seemed comfy also and I like their simple styling as well.
I love the convertible loafer pictured in the widget above in cognac. The back of the shoe collapses and it could be worn as a mule; although I prefer it as a loafer. Size down in this one. It also comes in pink. The pointed toe loafer in the widget is a great dupe for a more expensive Steve Madden pair. These fit true to size on me. Love the camel color.
The second row of shoes are more ‘spring-y’, but all so cute. The first side cut-out flat is a dupe of a Free People style. It gets great reviews and comes in cognac also. I’m dying over these animal print espadrille mules! They are beyond adorable and comfy. They would be so cute with jeans or shorts. Size up in these espadrille shoes. The white mules are the same style as the black ones that came out last fall. I have the black ones (true to size) and they are not only cute and comfy, but are also a great dupe of the Gucci style. And… they now also come in rose gold!!
I just found the pink sneakers above online as I was writing this post. I have been looking around for a pair of pink sneaks and it seems that every time I find some that I like, they are either out of stock or a bit more than I want to spend. These look perfect and at a great price point.
The open-toed heeled bootie in the widget above is a great dupe of a Vince Camuto pair that was popular during last summer’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I didn’t see these in my size at my local store, but the design and styling is such a good replica. I have the original version from last summer, but if I didn’t I would surely buy these.
Here’s a couple of clothing items that I’m loving:
The striped tie-front top is adorable. This style is so flattering. It can be worn now with a cardigan and later on its own. It’s currently on clearance, and all clearance apparel and shoes is an additional 20% off so it comes to around $11! The next twist top in the widget is also a favorite because it is basically a sweatshirt, but with some stylish flair. This top is so soft and cozy; an everyday kind of shirt that also comes in 2 other colors. The gray sweatshirt pictured above in the widget is also an everyday staple with a fun twist. The sleeves flare at the wrist with a grommet/black ribbon detail that is darling.
The two layering tanks in the widget above are great quality. The material felt nice and they appeared to run true to size. I love the versatility of the basic tank. It is the perfect layering piece and comes in a variety of colors. The lace trim tank is also a cute piece to have. It would be perfect to layer under a cardigan or v-neck sweater.
By the way, any purchases $35 and over ship free too!
Until my next Target run (like, probably tomorrow:)) … Happy shopping.
